During a stay in Singapore in March, we had the chance to see a very special art exhibition at the Art & Science Museum at Marina Bay SandsThe Art of the Brick, by Nathan Sawaya.

The artist even took the time to include a Lego® version of the flower-shaped museum (3rd picture in the top row).

The exhibition – which is still touring the world – was a lot of fun and very impressive, and had been fitted with terrific lighting, showcasing these sculptures perfectly. Right now you might be able to catch it at the Discovery Times Square Museum in NYC (until January 2014)

The full set of my pictures of the exhibition is here on Flickr. There was much more to see, though, and even a kids area and some interactive art making with digital bricks included. Very enjoyable. My inner geek was awestruck.
